Recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by The Iranian Noor Film Festival, the first Iranian-American to be nominated for Academy Award, having starred in over thirty films including The Lakehouse with Sandra Bullock, House of Sand and Fog with Sir Ben Kingsly, and X-Men, Shohreh Aghdashloo is currently touring the United States for her first ever book, “The Alley of Love and Yellow Jasmines.”
In the autobiography, in her own voice, Aghdashloo tells all about her journey to Hollywood stories such as how her parents discovered her modeling work when she was published on the cover of a well-known magazine, how she cut off all her hair to become a scholar for several years before moving to America, and how Hollywood is like for an Iranian woman. She just completed the first part of the U.S. tour with cities like Washington D.C., New York, and Miami. Aghdashloo is currently touring the west coast with book signings in several cities.
