On January 2nd, 2023, the Iranian community in Oregon made history. The NBA and Portland Trail Blazers embraced our community like never before as we celebrated Iranian Heritage Night at the Moda Center with hundreds of Iranian Americans.
We will be back next season – bigger, better, together – celebrating a #Freelran for us all.
Special thanks to Joshua Peters and the entire Portland Trail Blazers organization for providing our community with a platform to express ourselves and amplify our collective voice to nearly 20,000 people in attendance.
Kudos to Hoorah Dance Group, Sima Maleki, Donna Maleki, Bahar Behboodi and all of those dancers and individuals who worked behind the scenes who helped Javanan Magazine and Javanan Portland make this special night happen!
