Dr. Pari Amini, is an artist that creates work in pointillism, a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of pure color are applied in patterns to form an image, and she has created numerous works of dignitaries from all over the world. Some of her creations include Princess Diana, Hilary Clinton, and as many as fifty kings and presidents. Her works are known to be so realistic, it seems as if the eyes in the paintings are following the observer.

Recently, distinguished Emeritus Professor of the USC School of Engineering, Dr. George Chilingar invited Chinese business leader, Fu Chengyu to receive an honor on behalf of USC. Dr. Chilingar commissioned Dr. Amini to create an artwork of Chengyu and at the event, he was presented with the artwork.

Chengyu was said to be very appreciative and pleased with the artwork, saying that it was incredibly realistic.

Fu Chengyu

Chengyu has worked in China’s Daqing, Liaohe and Huabei oilfields. He is a strong proponent of supplying more energy in a cleaner manner while also taking action to protect the environment and combat climate change. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil industry in China.Fu has been the chairman of the SINOPEC Group, a Chinese energy giant, since April 2011.

Mr. Fu Chengyu has been Secretary of Leading Party Group and Non-executive Chairman of China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. since 2011 and since May 13, 2011 respectively. Mr. Chengyu served as the Chief Executive Officer, General Manager and Chairman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation from October 2003 to 2011.

He served as Vice-President of China National Offshore Oil Corporation from October 2000 to 2002. He served as Executive Vice-President, Chief Operating Officer and President of China National Offshore Oil Corporation from 1999 to 2000. He served as President of Nanhai East Corporation from 1999 to 2000. He joined China National Offshore Oil Corporation in 1982.
