از برپایی فامیلی فیلم اواردز تا المپیا اواردز، تا تلاش برای جهانی کردن یک ایده صلح آمیز
و آمیخته با عشق .. بهروز جلیلی، المپیا جلینی، 40 سال است که می دود و خسته نمی شود

از اولین روزی که بهروز جلیلی درلس آنجلس، یک مرکز فرهنگی و هنری را بنیاد گذاشت، کمتر کسی باور می کرد که او درآن تب و تاب کوچ و دلواپسی و نگرانی ها، بتواند در حفظ فرهنگ ایرانی و هنر ایرانی و حتی سنت های ایرانی موفق باشد.
بهروز جلیلی و یا المپیا جلینی را از ایران می شناسیم، از آن روزهای نوجوانی اش که در فیلم ها و نمایشات معروف چون «گرداب» در کنار فخری خوروش، محمدعلی کشاورزو سعید کنگرانی و بعد ملخ زدگان که با سوژه ای انتقادی و جنجالی، همه جا مورد بحث بود و بعد درحالیکه همه با خود صنایع دستی و طلا و جواهرات با خود به خارج می آوردند، بهروز هزارجلد کتاب ارزشمند و نایاب را با خود به لس آنجلس آورد و اولین مرکز مطالعه کتب ایرانی را دایر نمود و مردم تشنه خواندن، نسل مشتاق فرهنگ و هنر و ادب به سوی او رفتند ولی این تنها اقدام بهروز جلیلی نبود، او اولین شب های شعر را درخارج در همین لس آنجلس برپا ساخت. گردآوردن شعرای حاضر در این شهر، کشاندن دوستداران شعر به چنین گردهمائی ها کاری آسان نبود، ولی بهروزجلیلی همیشه سنت شکن بود و درهرشرایطی فروتن، مردم دوست و اینکه با همه وجود به بزرگان شعر وادب و هنر حرمت می گذاشت، در آن روزهای سخت کوشید توجه پرویزصیاد، شهره آغداشلو،هوشنگ توزیع، داریوش ایران نژاد، رضا ژیان را به اجرای تئاترهایی برانگیزد و نمونه این همکاری نمایش کافه اکبرآقا نوستالژی، نتیجه تلاش هوشنگ توزیع و یارانش بود. بهروز درحالیکه در طبقه پائین ساختمان، رستوران دیزی را براه انداخته بود که محل دیدار ایرانیان و برخورد عقاید مختلف باشد، در طبقه بالا، مرکز تئاترو کتابخانه و مجموعه فرهنگی را دایر کرده بود.

در شرایطی که توقعات مهاجرین ایرانی بالا میرفت، بهروز در اوج تحریکات سیاسی و تبلیغات ضد ایرانی، با نام آنتونیو جلینی، به اتفاق دیک کلارک اولین فستیوال فیلم های خانوادگی براه انداخت، کمتر کسی باور داشت که هالیوود خشن و پراز سکس و خیانت، تحمل یک جشنواره خانوادگی بنامFamily Film Awards را داشته باشد ولی بهروز جلیلی با یاری دیک کلارک با حضور همه سوپراستارهای سینما و تلویزیون اولین سال این جشنواره را برپا داشت، شبکه های تلویزیونی اقدام به پخش آن کردند و شما از باب هوپ تا چارلتون هستون تا همه سوپراستارهای قدیمی و جدید را در این جشنواره می دیدید و باورتان نمی شد در پشت این رویداد جهانی یک ایرانی عاشق فرهنگ و هنرو تاریخ سرزمین خودش ایستاده است.
در طی 23سال، به جرات هیچکس تاب ایستادگی نداشت که دوباره این درخت پربار هنر را بارور کند، دوباره بعد از یک سکوت دو دهه ای، آنرا بازسازی کند و دیدیم که فستیوال فیلم های خانوادگی را سرانجام سرپا نگهداشت وهمزمان المپیا اواردز را با بهره از 12 هنر بنیان گذاشت.
خیلی ها هنوز نمی دانند المپیا چه مفهومی دارد، درواقع المپیا به کشورها امکان میدهد که درسرزمین خود در رشته های مختلف بطور زنده مسابقاتی برپا دارند که شامل سینما، تئاتر، تلویزیون، موسیقی، شعر ، ادبیات، رقص، مجسمه سازی، آشپزی، بازیگری، کارگردانی میشود و بعد از گزینش دریک گردهمائی بین المللی، هنرمندان برگزیده هر کشوری با کشورهای دیگر، یک آزمون زنده دیگر خواهند داشت و سرانجام برگزیدگان معرفی و به دریافت جوایز نائل میشوند.
اینروزها بهروزجلیلی (المپیا جلینی)، به دعوت کشورهای چین، روسیه، آلمان، فرانسه، انگلیس، اسپانیا، ایتالیا، ژاپن و کشورهای عربی به دیدار مسئولان هنرو فرهنگ شان میرود، با آنها دراین باره سخن می گوید و قراردادهایی منعقد می کند.
بهروز جلیلی می خواهد بعنوان یک ایرانی، هنرهای جهانی را در صحنه های بین المللی دوش به دوش هم قرار بدهد، او می خواهد هنر و عشق را جایگزین جنگ و سیاست کند و می بینیم که بسیاری از سران کشورها وزرای فرهنگ وهنرشان، مسیرجلینی را باور دارند.

The Making of the 23rd Annual Family Film

It’s March 29, 2019 and uploading of the public voting pages for the 23rd Family Film Awards is one day away. As the crunch hits I am amazed at the many movies which have been released during the previous year and I am doing a triple check to make sure that we have not missed significant contributions that fall within the G and PG ratings for various entertainment groupings – minus talk shows, talent and reality shows and documentaries. Breathe! …massiveresearch into film and TV series for this year is nearly over and the beginning of the Family Film Awards new season is underway!
My close friend and associate Dr. Olympia A. Gellini called me at 1 AM (my time) and proceeded to brief me on everything that I already know about him – basically re-versing me…getting me ready to create (another) shorter version of his bio suitable to slip along to another associate in an email. Now, since I have already written upteen smaller versions of Dr. Gellini’s bio, one would think that to quickly search the files would come up with just the one that I would need in this circumstance! Well, Dr. Gellini is worthy of respect and so let there be no doubt – and everyone get it straight – that I love Dr. Gellini and he also loves me (he loves everybody actually (yup!) – We can joke about these issues freely in private and in public and so here it is…all ready to go (and I found it in my files)!
“Along with The Family Film Awards for which he is very famous, Dr. Gelliniis Founder, CEO and President of the world’s first Olympics of the Cultures known as the Olympia Awards Competition of Cultures, Arts and Entertainment – 12 Olympias. From the age of 3 it was Dr. Gellini’s vision that there should be a worldwide Olympia Award for movies and artists and it has been his dream to share the celebration of cultural diversity that existed and which he witnessed in his hometown of Marshad, Iran with the rest of the world and he carried his dream into adulthood and since having become an adult he has spent his life in implementing International cultural Olympics competitions programs, events exhibitions and educational projects which go far beyond the scope of the arts and mainstream entertainment – and which seek to bridge cultures, fostering peace between nations and encouraging good will and comradery between peoples of vastly differing cultural backgrounds.
Dr. Gellini has written over forty plays and has appeared in numerous films and television shows worldwide. He has been recognized in such diverse parts of the world as Afghanistan, where he won the Best Director prize in 1984 for his film The Border, and again in Tashkent (former Soviet Union) in 1985 for his short film The Dictators. The son of a diplomat, Dr. Gellini had lived in 23 countries before landing in Los Angeles where he has established several acting schools. It was in Los Angeles where he pursued his dream to truly globalize the art of filmmaking by making the World Film Institute a reality and a recognized resource for filmmakers, film students and motion picture fans around the globe.

In 1995 he helped to break the Disney monopoly on family films when he worked with Jack Valenti, then president of Motion Picture Association of America and then American President Bill Clinton to enact a law requiring every major studio and network to produce a minimum of 3 family films every year in order to stay in business. This has resulted in the creation of over a thousand family films since, harnessing the massive creative power of America’s many studios and networks to unify America and bring her families closer together. Dr. Gellini is also Founder and Chairman of the Family Film Awards, which first aired nationwide on CBS network, sponsored by Microsoft and Co-Executive Produced by the late legend of legends Mr. Dick Clark. It was the most successful and most highly-rated awards show that year. This legacy continues as Dr. Gellini recently announced the Winners of the 22nd Anniversary Family Film Awards at Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
So today WFI’s vision and mission encompasses and embraces tremendously lofty goals which include much more than rewarding worthy and talented filmmakers. Dr. Gellini, who is a United Nations highly respected Ambassador for World Peace, is creator and founder of Olympia Awards Competitions of Cultures, Arts and Entertainment (which is a recognized modern day true Olympics of the International community. He states of the coming “Olympia Awards Cities of Light” Worldwide International Theme Parks that they will include on site universities for the arts, corporate offices, theme park services and facilities. Available will be education in the Humanities, Cultural Arts, Technological Sciences, Literature, Theater, Filmmaking, Painting, Sculpture, Dance, and Martial Arts for both men and women, Culinary Arts, Special Needs.
Therefore to this end the World Film Institute is also an intercultural educational organization, which plans and organizes international Olympia Events within the field of competitions for the finest artists of the international community of arts. Stated Dr. Gellini,”Our focus is on encouraging active, healthy diversity within the global community and in cultural competitions …and in promoting good mental and physical health and enjoyable competitions for all persons around the globe.

The 23rd Family Film Awards will be a spectacular event. Recently Gay Blackstone, Magician and former President of the Academy of Magical Arts who was also the international ambassador of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and a producer and director, known for The 2007 World Magic Awards (2007), Masters of Illusion (2014) and Extreme Escapes (2014) came on board as a producer for the 23rd Family Film Awards which will take place at the Hilton Universal Hotel Ballroom Universal City, Los Angeles on Sunday, September 29, 2019 and will be televised live throughout the United States andinto several countries this year.
Dr. Gellini is readying himself for another “many nations tour” (a few countries he has been invited into in order to attend talks for the implementation of mutual International WFI programs for both the Family Film Awards and Olympia Awards Competitions of Cultures, Arts, Artists and Entertainment this year (are) Egypt, Israel, Jordan, India, Italy and Mexico). He will make his renowned annual personal appearance at Cannes Film Festival, Cannes, France and meet with Mr. Alain Zirah Founder of OFF DE CANNES and producer for the annual festivities surrounding the all-important worldwide announcements of the 23rd Annual Family Film Awards nominees – on May 19, 2019.
While he is working the important film makers circuit and attending meetings with dignitaries and others of magnitude within the world I will faithfully man the main office, write the articles and books, make the important videos and develop the Family Film Awards nominees and voting lists, maintain the websites which I have created, sell tickets and sponsorships for the Institute and juggle all forms of PR, Social Media and Print (both online and brick and mortar).
When the basics are prepared I will switch over into Olympia Awards mode and do it all again from a differing perspective of Cultural Arts Competitions.
So what goes into the making of a new season at the Family Film Awards main office? The answer islots of love, hard work and dedication… from Dr. Gellini and from me, which includes all of the above!
